Mr. Tommy E. McCook, Sr., age 87, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 3:30P M in Gordon United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Mays officiating. Interment will follow in Ramah Cemetery. The family will be at Williams Funeral Home of Gordon Saturday from 4-6PM to receive friends. Mr. McCook was a native of Wilkinson County, having grown up in Gordon. He was the son of the late James and Effie Mae Nesmith McCook and was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Dennard McCook, a son Mike McCook and a great-grandchild Michael Alan Lee McCook. He was retired from Freeport Kaolin. He is survived by his son Tommy (Dian) E. McCook, Jr. of Midway; grandchildren Chris (Megan) McCook of Perry, Cindy McCook of Waynesboro, Joy McCook of Midway, Jennifer McCook of Gordon, Melissa McCook of Gordon; great-grandchildren Ansley McCook, Jackson McCook and Kaylee McCook; and daughter-in-law Evelyn S.
