Saralyn Franks Hartzog

December 2, 1946 - February 28, 2020

Mrs. Saralyn Franks Hartzog, 73, of Gordon, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted 3 O’clock Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Baptist Gospel Mission Church with Rev. W. C. Bloodworth and Rev. Bill Bates officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Daughter of the late Annie Ruth Vinson Nelson and James Wiley Franks, Jr., she was born in Macon GA. Saralyn Hartzog was a hairdresser and owner of J & J Industrial Services. She loved her husband of 53 years, her sons, her daughter in laws and her grandchildren. Saralyn was a member of Baptist Gospel Mission Church. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Otis Nelson and a granddaughter, Emily Peyton Hartzog. The family will receive friends here in Williams-White Columns Funeral Home Sunday evening, March 1, 2020 from 5 PM until 7 PM. Survivors include her Husband; James “Jimmy” Hartzog, Sr. of Gordon. Sons; James Wiley Hartzog, Jr. (Betty) of Ivey and Jason Hartzog (Denise) of Gordon. Brother; Sammy Franks (Pat) of Jones County. Sister; Ellen Sexton (Roy) of Twiggs County. Grandchildren; Stormy, Macy, Jesse, Madison, Jacie and Emily Hartzog and Jamie Lynn “Hartzog” Hodges Sweat. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
