Funeral Services for Mrs. Minnie Lee Summers Youngblood will be conducted 2 O?clock, Monday Afternoon in the Gordon United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Snowhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Williams White Columns Sunday Afternoon from 4 until 6. Mrs. Youngblood, 102, went to be with the Lord December 14, 2012. A native of Gordon, she was predeceased by her husband J.T. Youngblood, daughter Sara Y. Brooks, infant daughter Gwendolyn Louise Youngblood; parents J.W and Elizabeth M. Summers; brothers and sisters, Flemin Summers, Elmon Summers, Francis S. Woods, Gussie S. Owen and Ann S. Williamson. Gordon?s Oldest Citizen, she was an active and the oldest member of the Gordon United Methodist Church. She loved her church family and was loved by them in return. She was a loving wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and was never happier than when her family was with her. Her grandchildren have loving memories of being at granddaddy and mamma Youngblood?s house. They shared Easter egg hunts, family Christmases, Thanksgiving dinners and Sunday get together where they could always count on some of Mamma Youngblood?s goodies after a hard day of play. Survivors include her daughters Shirley (J.K.) McCook of Macon, Glenda Simmons of Gordon and Carol Reese of Gray and sister Mrs. Wilmyth Davis of Gordon. Grandchildren, Sherryll Young, Keith (Nancy) McCook, Craig (Michele) McCook, Deirdre (Randy) Sowell, Steven (Mary Sue) Simmons, Daphne (Chuck) Gilley, Kim (Danny) Simmons, Jeff Simmons and Tommy Brooks. Twenty Great Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Gordon United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO 363, Gordon, Georgia or to Pine Point Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd, Macon, Georgia 31210
