Lawrence Elam McCook

Mr. Lawrence ""Elam"" McCook, age 81, passed away Saturday, May 12. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, May 14 at 3PM graveside in Snow Hill Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Hardie and Rev. Larry Glover officating. The family will be at the funeral home in Gordon Monday from 2PM until the service hour to receive friends. Mr. McCook was a lifelong resident of Wilkinson County. He was the son of the late Daniel and Errinnie McMullen McCook and was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette McCook, brother George McCook and sister Connie Clance. As a farmer he raised bees and produce and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister Reba Wesley of McIntyre; brothers Howard McCook of Twin City, Briscoe McCook of Macon, and Ernest McCook of Milledgeville; and 17 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to the Oconee Regional Medical Center's ICU, 821 N. Cobb St., Milledgeville, GA 31061.
