Funeral Services for Mr. Larry Skaggs, age 78, will be conducted at 2 O?clock Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Ivey Baptist Church with Rev. Freddy Hogg Officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Williams White Columns Funeral Home of Gordon on Monday from 6-8PM. Mr. Skaggs was a native of Kentucky and had lived in Ivey since 1984. He was the son of the late James and Bertha Warren Skaggs and was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Richardson. Mr. Skaggs was retired from Brown and Williamson and was very active with Mustard Seed Ministry and the Sheila Youmans Food Bank. He was a member of Ivey Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife Hazel Shumate Skaggs of Ivey, Daughters, Theresa (Carl) Roby, Patricia Jacklynn (Phil) Reynolds both of Louisville, KY, Donna (Marty) McDonald of Macon, GA, Sheila (Jason) Gunter of Dry Branch, Sons- Tommy (Pam) Ledrick, Roger (Gail) Ledrick both of KY, Keith (Theresa) Ledrick of Jones County, and Kenny Ledrick of Arkansas, 22 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, Brother- Delbert Skaggs of KY, Sisters- Ruby Vanmeter of KY, and Eller Wells of FL. Flowers accepted and Memorial Contributions may be made to Ivey Baptist Church Building Fund, 107 Church Street, Ivey, GA 31031.
