Virginia ""Carole"" Davis, 67 of Jacksonville Beach,Fl.,passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 in her second home in Otto,North Carolina.Daughter of the late Hugh Wendell Davis and Dorothy Logue Davis, she was a native of Irwinton, Georgia but had made her home in Jacksonville Beach,Florida the last 45 years. Carole was a graduate of Georgia College and served as senior class president during 1962-1963.She earned her Master's Degree from the University of Georgia, where she maintained a 4.0 GPA. Carole was employed by the Duval County Board of Education, where she was a Magnet School Coordinator and softball coach at Ed White High School.She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and supported them until the end. Survivors include: Mother: Dorothy Davis-Irwinton Brother: Wendell (Betty) Davis-Peachtree City,GA Sister: Sheri DuPree-Gordon,GA Life-long Best Friend: Tonya Moore-Jacksonville,FL IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, THE FAMILY REQUESTS DONATIONS BE MADE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION FUND G-3 ADERHOLD HALL, ATHEN,GA 30602 Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 at 2PM in the Irwinton Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Bob Murphy officiating. A Memorial service will also be conducted in Jacksonville Beach,FL.on November 8, 2008 at 2PM in Quinn Shaltz Funeral Home.
