Mr. William L. Pike, 81, of Gordon passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at his residence. He is survived by his Wife, Marjorie Sellers Pike, daughters: Helen Charlene Pike Brooks of Mitchell, Pamela Pike Gibbs (Frankie Rawls) of Dublin, Susan Pike Watson (Rodney) of Gordon, son: Gerald C. Watkins (Daniela Krattli) of Gray, sister: Doris Dean of Massachusetts, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Son of the late Helen Pike, he was born September 22, 1938 in Thomaston, Georgia but had made Wilkinson County his home since 1991. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy, a retired K9 Sergeant for the Ga. Department of Corrections, and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mr. Pike enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. An avid outdoorsman, he spent the majority of his retired years hunting, fishing, and trapping wild game. The family wishes to extend a special heartfelt thank you for grandson, Christopher Watkins, who was a dedicated caregiver and remained by his side during his extended illness. The family will receive friends in Williams White Columns Funeral Home on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 5 to 7pm. The family requests everyone attending visitation and service to please wear masks. Services will be Monday August 18, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Williams White Columns Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private in the Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Pallbearers will be Ron Sellers, Andy Hester, Tommy McClure, Tony Jackson, Will Gibbs, and Matt Gibbs. Honorable pallbearers are Christopher Watkins, Cliff Jones and Brett Gibbs.
